Liquid or paste with perceptible odour.

Nature of hazard

Flammable flashpoint from 23 °C to 61 °C. Volatile. Forms explosive mixture with air, even in empty un cleaned receptacles. Vapours are invisible, heavier than air and spread along the ground. Heating will cause pressure rise – with risk of bursting and subsequent explosion.

The vapour may have narcotic effect. Danger for waters and the environment.

Personal Protection

Goggles giving complete protection to the eyes.

Plastic or rubber gloves.

EMERGENCY ACTION:

Notify police and fire brigade immediately Tel: 999

General actions by the driver

Stop the engine.

No naked lights.

No smoking. No open flames.

Set up warning sign on road and warn other road users and passers by.

Inform public about dangers and instruct persons to stay on the wind side.

Inform police and fire brigade as soon as possible.

Additional and/or special actions by the driver

Equipment - Shovel and broom - Collecting container

Pay attention to self-protection. Risk of fire and explosion. Remove or render ineffective all sources of flame (e.g. switch off blinking lights, motors). Eliminate leaks only if possible without endangering yourself. Prevent the liquid entering sewers, work pits and basements. Contain or absorb leaking liquid with sand or earth. If substance has entered a watercourse or sewer or contaminated soil or vegetation advise fire brigade or police.

Do not extinguish load-fire – Extinguish origin-fire only

First Aid

If substance has got into the eyes, immediately wash out with plenty of water for several minutes. Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash affected skin with soap and water. Call doctor immediately on appearance of symptoms which are obviously due to breathing in, choking or effects on skin or eyes. In case of burns immediately cool affected skin as long as possible with cold water.
